Meet So You Pence

So You Pence is a mare by So You Think (Coolmore Australia) who was a 10 time Group 1 winner in 2 hemispheres defeating over 75 individual Gr.1 winners with earnings of $8.9 million and is out of the Sepoy (Darley Australia) mare Larapineta.

So You Think has produced 11 individual Group 1 winners to date such as Think It Over winner of the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes and Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes, Quick Thinker winner of the Gr.1 Australian Derby, Inference Group 1 Randwick Guineas winner, Nakeeta Jane Group 1 Surround Stakes & Group 2 Light Fingers Stakes winner, D’Argento (Stallion Bowness Stud) winner of the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas.

Runner-up in the Gr.1 Epsom Handicap, Nimalee winner of the Group 1 Queen Of The Turf. And Think About It winner of the $20m TAB Everest, Group 1 Kingsford Smith Cup and Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap. Larapineta was a winner at 1200m and by four time Group 1 winner Sepoy a winner of the Group 1 Golden Slipper, Group 1 Blue Diamond, Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes and the Group 1 Moir Stakes.

He produced 12 Group and Stakes winners including three time Group 1 winner Alizee (Godolphin) Group 1 Futurity Stakes, Group 1 Flight Stakes and Group 1 Coolmore Legacy. Larapineta is out of the 2 year old Ottawa Stakes winner Spectrolite.

She was purchased from Supreme Thoroughbreds at the Inglis Premier Sale in 2021 a sale that since 2018 has produced 22 individual Group 1 winners. Such racehorse as Tab Everest and Royal Ascot Group 1 King Stands Stakes winner Nature Strip, Group 1 Guineas winner Ole Kirk (Vinery Stud), Group 1 Manikato Stakes winner Bella Nipotina, Group 1 Toorak Handicap winner Tuvalu, Group 2 winning earner of $4.3 million Lost And Running, Group 1 William Reid Stakes winner Masked Crusader, Group 1 Black Caviar Lightening Stakes Winner Gytrash and Four time Group 1 Winner Hey Doc who won the Group 1 Manikato Stakes X2, Group 1 Australian Guineas and the Group 1 Winterbottom Stakes.

So You Pence was strong scopey filly much like a lot of the So You Think progeny.

She had a great hip on her which she used very well when she walked, she was very well balanced and had a great nature.

So You Pence is trained by Kozciusko winning trainer Matthew Dale in the state of the art facilities at Goulburn, NSW

We purchase an array of quality yearlings each year from our reputable partners, (Inglis and Magic Millions) and all horses are subject to a thorough veterinary inspection, clinical evaluation, x-rays and scoping.
