Satin Stiletto:
We put the spotlight on our very exciting 2-year-old filly Satin Stiletto, a daughter of Written Tycoon and out of the listed 2year-old Gimcrack winner Satin Slipper.
We purchased Satin Stiletto from the great nursery that is Newgate Farm for $100k at the Inglis Classic sale.
A touch on the small side, Satin Stiletto was well put together and had a touch of class that more than made up for what she lacked in stature.
However, this wasn’t the main reason we purchased Satin Stiletto. Every sale, we do endless hours of research behind the scenes into every pedigree and every farm to tick as many boxes as possible to give our owners the best chance of success possible, whether it’s on the track or with a filly off the track, like Satin Stiletto that possesses great residual value.
Our research showed us there was a quite exciting 2-year-old by I Am Invincible called I Am Unstoppable. We were able to see the colt was showing considerable ability that would give us significant pedigree updates and increase our filly’s (Satin Stiletto) value before she even hit the track, and we were right. IAU won his first 2 starts impressively, becoming a stakes winner in the process.
In his 3-year-old season, I Am Unstoppable had a couple of unlucky runs in Group and Listed company, never missing a top 3 finish before tackling the Group 1 Coolmore, the stallion-making race. He ran a huge race to finish 2nd and give us a huge pedigree boost to Satin Stiletto.
Satin Stiletto’s value has increased significantly, resulting in a great outcome for everyone that managed to get involved and secure a share in her.
To make things even better, Satin Stiletto is showing ability herself as an early 2-year-old. She is thriving in the Matt Dale stable and ticking all the boxes.
What has impressed Matt most is Satin Stilettos mentality to handle everything put in front of her like the utmost professional. We are excited to see what she can do after her racecourse debut.
Satin Stiletto finished 3rd in the Listed Calaway Gal increasing her value residually even more, the future looks very bright for this filly and all of her ownership group.
Satin Stiletto after a jump out
There are many angles we take when selecting horses, and residual value is one we have had great success with, like Satin Stiletto, Malaboom and Queen’s Rhapsody. All not only have ability themselves but hold great residual value after racing. So, if you want to get involved, register your interest now.
Satin Stiletto has just been one of many success stories you can be apart of too with us here at Kurrinda Bloodstock.

This Filly is by Arrowfield Stud’s exciting young stallion Castelvecchio, a multiple Group 1 winner on the track. Rakitno is by champion sire Not A Single Doubt, a winner herself a 1200m she possessed plenty of speed and is a ½ sister to the 2yo winning stakes placed Zellindi. This Filly reminded us an awful lot of her dam sire Not A Single Doubt, she was well put together, a great shape, well balanced, athletic and very much in the mould of what he threw throughout his career at stud.
The Filly was presented at the Inglis Classic Sale by Rheinwood Pastoral, in recent times Rheinwood have produced the highly exciting colt Libertad a winner of the Group 3 Widden Kindergarten Stakes at 2 and the Group 3 San Domenico (just like Anders) highlighting their ability to produce top class racehorses to compete at the highest level.

related being a 1/2 sister to the Group 3 winner Quick Feet.
This Filly is a proper athlete very forward and precocious type, she is a great size for a first foal, well put together but it was her walk that we fell in love with. She was one of the best
moving horses we have seen this year and one that we were not leaving the sale without.
