Private Harry a 2 year old colt by the very exciting young sire Harry Angel (Godolphin Australia), a sire who has made quite the mark with his first runners in the Southern Hemisphere producing three individual Stakes-winning juveniles.
Current leading second-season sire by Stakes winners, including Stakes-winning juvenile and Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes -winning three-year-old Tom Kitten, Group 1 Blue Diamond-placed dual Stakes winner Arkansaw Kid plus Group 2 Danehill Stakes winner Stretan Angel. Harry Angel himself was a Group 2-winning juvenile and dual Group 1-winning three-year-old (July Cup and Haydock Sprint), which saw him crowned World Champion Sprinter in 2017.
Private Harry’s dam Happy Pilgrim herself is a 3 time winning half sister to Snipzu the Group and Stakes placed dam of 5 runners for 5 winners to date including 3 individual Group and Stakes horses, most recently the twice Group 1 placed (Blue Diamond and Inglis Sires Produce) Don Corleone.
The colt was presented at the Inglis Classic Sale by Rheinwood Pastoral a boutique fam nestled in Mittagong, NSW. In recent times Rheinwood have produced the highly exciting colt Libertad a winner of the Group 3 Widden Kindergarten Stakes at 2 and the Group 3 San Domenico at 3 highlighting their ability to produce top class racehorses to compete at the highest level.
Private Harry was presented at the Inglis Classic Sale, a sale which has forged a significant reputation over the years on the back of star graduates like Extreme Choice (Stallion Newgate Farm), I Am Invincible (Stallion Yarraman Park), Choisir, She Will Reign, Yankee Rose, Vow And Declare, Classique Legend, In Her Time, Brazen Beau, Hellbent (Stallion Yarraman Park) and Castelvecchio (Stallion Arrowfield) among many others.
It is the only sale at which you could have bought the winners of each of The Everest, Golden Slipper, Melbourne Cup and Blue Diamond in the past 10 years.
He was a quality early looking sprinting type, most definitely in the mould of his sire. He had a great action, a fantastic willing attitude and never turned a hair every time he came out to parade he was the utmost professional.
