Meet Ready To Rush

A mare by one of Queensland’s leading sire Better Than Ready (Lyndhurst Stud Farm) and out of the I Am Invincible (Yarraman Park) mare Goldie River.

Better Than Ready has taking Queensland by storm in recent years the son of influential sire More Than Ready (Vinery Stud) was Champion Australian First Season Sire by winners and leading Queensland sire (145 winners in 2022/23) He was an 8 time winner on the track including four stakes wins at 3 & 4, He broke the great Northern Meteor’s Randwick 1200m track record. Better Than Ready’s impressive list of winners include the Group 1 Kingsford Smith winner Apache Chase, Group 2 Callender-Presnell winner Chrysaor, Group 3 B.j Mclachlan Stakes winner and $1.9 million earner Alpine Edge, Group placed and Stakes winner The Odyssey (Stallion Telemon Stud) and Multiple Group placed Magic Millions 2 year old Classic winner Skirt The Law.

Goldie River is a half sister to the Listed Heritage Stakes winner Ragged Rascal and has 100% record at stud with a son of Russian Revolution a winning 2 year old putting her record at 1 from 1. Goldie River is by Champion Sire I Am Invincible a brilliant sprinter who had five wins at 1000, 1100 metres and $270,050 in prizemoney including wins in the Group 3 SAJC DC McKay Stakes, Listed MRC Sir John Monash Stakes and second to Takeover Target in the Group I SAJC Goodwood Handicap.

As a sire he has produced 13 Group 1 winners including Home Affairs (Stallion Coolmore Australia), Imperatriz, Viddora, Brazen Beau (Stallion Darley Australia), Loving Gaby, Marabi, Hellbent (Stallion Yarraman Park) and more, he is also responsible for producing 144 stakes horses.

She was purchased from Yarramalong Park at the Magic Millions Sale 2023 recent graduates of the sale include multiple Group 1 sprinting sensation Imperatriz, Golden Rose winner Jacquinot (Stallion Widden Stud), Group 1 Thousand Guineas winner Madame Pommery, Group 1 Coolmore Classic winner Espiona, TAB Everest winner Yes Yes Yes (Stallion Coolmore Australia), Golden Slipper winner Stay Inside (Stallion Newgate Farm), 2 year old Magic Millions and Golden Slipper winner Capitalist (Stallion Newgate Farm). Yarramalong Park have a long standing history for producing top quality racehorses and in recent years have produced the likes of Group 3 winning 2 year old and Magic Millions 2 year old classic runner up, Magic Millions $1 million winner Alpine Edge who has career earnings of $1.9 million to date.

Ready to Rush was a very will put together filly a fast looking 2 year old type who possessed a lot of quality. She was a very athletic mover with a nice sprinting action to boot.
