Historic Day For The Great Melbourne Cup 2024

Historic Day For The Great Melbourne Cup 2024:

In a landmark move for Australian horse racing, the Victoria Racing Club (VRC), Tabcorp, and broadcaster Nine have forged a pioneering broadcast, media, and sponsorship alliance for the Melbourne Cup Carnival spanning 2024 to 2029.

This historic deal, speculated to be worth as much as $80 million, aims to significantly enhance sponsorship opportunities and broaden the carnival’s media reach both domestically and internationally of the Melbourne Cup Carnival..

The conclusion of this deal comes after protracted negotiations, notably following the withdrawal of the Seven Network from the bidding process due to discontent, leaving Nine as the sole major network contender for the Melbourne Cup Carnival..

Nine emerges as the free-to-air broadcaster, securing comprehensive rights across various platforms including broadcast, streaming, and social media of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

Additionally, Tabcorp will serve as the exclusive wagering partner for Nine’s coverage, marking a significant step in integrating betting services with mainstream media coverage of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

This partnership not only signifies a major shift in how the Melbourne Cup Carnival is televised and experienced by fans worldwide but also underscores the VRC’s strategic focus on leveraging media and sponsorship to promote the sport of horse racing.

With the VRC taking charge of production through VRC Media, the collaboration is set to revolutionise global racing broadcasts, further cementing the Melbourne Cup Carnival’s status as Australia’s premier racing event.

How To One Day Have A Runner At The Melbourne Cup Carnival:

Licensed trusted syndicators like Kurrinda Bloodstock facilitate involvement in racehorses with the potential to compete at prestigious events like the Melbourne Cup Carnival through syndication. Syndication involves pooling resources from multiple investors to purchase and manage a racehorse. Here’s how they make it possible and affordable:

  1. Expertise and Connections: Syndicators like Kurrinda Bloodstock have extensive experience and industry connections. They possess the expertise to identify promising horses with potential for success in major racing events like the Melbourne Cup Carnival. Their knowledge helps mitigate risks associated with purchasing and managing racehorses.
  2. Financial Structure: Syndicators divide the cost of purchasing and maintaining the horse among syndicate members. This makes it more financially accessible for individual investors who may not have the resources to buy and maintain a racehorse on their own. Costs such as training, veterinary care, stabling, and race entry fees are shared among syndicate members, making ownership more affordable.
  3. Diversification: Syndication allows investors to diversify their investments across multiple horses or shares in a single horse. This diversification spreads the risk of investment, reducing the potential for significant financial loss if one horse underperforms.
  4. Professional Management: Syndicators like Kurrinda Bloodstock handle the day-to-day management of the horse, including training, veterinary care, and race scheduling. This relieves syndicate members of the time and effort required to manage a racehorse themselves.
  5. Access to Racing Events: Syndicate members have the opportunity to participate in major racing events such as the Melbourne Cup Carnival, where their horse may compete. This offers a thrilling and potentially lucrative experience for investors who can enjoy the excitement of elite horse racing firsthand.

Sharing the experience with fellow syndicate members adds another dimension to the ownership experience:

  1. Community and Camaraderie: Syndicate members share a common passion for horse racing, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among owners. They can bond over their shared interest, attend races together, and celebrate victories as a group.
  2. Networking Opportunities: Syndicate ownership provides networking opportunities with other racing enthusiasts, industry professionals, and potentially even high-profile figures in the racing world. This network can offer valuable insights, connections, and opportunities within the horse racing industry.
  3. Shared Thrills and Challenges: Sharing ownership with fellow syndicate members allows investors to experience the highs and lows of horse racing together. Whether celebrating a win or supporting each other through setbacks, syndicate members form a support system that enhances the overall ownership experience.

This Filly is by Arrowfield Stud’s exciting young stallion Castelvecchio, a multiple Group 1 winner on the track. for age.

Rakitino is by champion sire Not A Single Doubt, a winner herself a 1200m she possessed plenty of speed and is a ½ sister to the 2yo winning stakes placed Zellindi. This Filly reminded us an awful lot of her dam sire Not A Single Doubt, she was well put together, a great shape, well balanced, athletic and very much in the mould of what he threw throughout his career at stud.

The Filly was presented at the Inglis Classic Sale by Rheinwood Pastoral, in recent times Rheinwood have produced the highly exciting colt Libertad a winner of the Group 3 Widden Kindergarten Stakes at 2 and the Group 3 San Domenico (just like Anders) highlighting their ability to produce top class racehorses to compete at the highest level.
