Eight year-old So You Think gelding Think It Over has run his last race with his trainer Kerry Parker notifying stewards this morning that his stable star would be retired.

Think It Over won the Group I ATC Verry Elleegant Stakes on March 2 defeating hot favourite Fangirl, but could do no better than fourth in the Group I ATC Ranvet Stakes last Saturday won by Via Sistina (IRE).

Think It Over had already overcome a significant tendon injury following his memorable Queen Elizabeth Stakes victory in 2022 to return to peak form and following a veterinary assessment, the decision was made to call time on a horse that has a fantastic career for everyone involved in him.

Think It Over formed a great partnership in the latter part of his career with Nash Rawiller and retires with the overall record of 14 wins and 13 placings from 42 starts with prizemoney topping $8.4million.

Meet Queen’s Rhapsody

Queen’s Rhapsody is a filly by So You Think (Coolmore Australia) who was a 10 time Group 1 winner in 2 hemispheres defeating over 75 individual Gr.1 winners with earnings of $8.9 million and is out of the Flying Spur mare Spurs and Sashes.

So You Think has produced 11 individual Group 1 winners to date such as Think It Over winner of the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes and Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes, Quick Thinker winner of the Gr.1 Australian Derby, Inference Group 1 Randwick Guineas winner,

Nakeeta Jane Group 1 Surround Stakes & Group 2 Light Fingers Stakes winner, D’Argento (Stallion Bowness Stud) winner of the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas. Runner-up in the Gr.1 Epsom Handicap, Nimalee winner of the Group 1 Queen Of The Turf.

She was a strong, forward filly, well-proportioned and carried herself very well. She was a real standout from the minute we laid eyes on her and from a proven nursery we have had success with previous.

She is trained by David Pfieffer in Warwick Farm, Sydney. David is a regular in the NSW trainer’s premiership for the last decade or so and operates at a fantastic strike rate, he is complimented by fantastic state of the art facilities
