Golden Slipper 2024
Golden Slipper 2024 the field has been declared and barriers allocated for Saturday’s Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill.
The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained Espionage, to be ridden by three-time Golden Slipper-winning jockey Tommy Berry, was named the first and only emergency.
The Golden Slipper 2024 field is made up of 12 colts, no geldings and four fillies with Espionage also adding to the colts representation should he secure a start.
Despite Espionage not making the Golden Slipper 2024 field of 16, the Waterhouse and Bott stable have an amazing 43.75 per cent of runners with seven members of their stable making the field, headed up by Golden Slipper 2024 favourite Storm Boy which will be ridden by last year’s winning rider, champion UK jockey Ryan Moore.
Other starters for Tulloch Lodge in the Golden Slipper 2024 are Fully Lit, Shangri La Express, Straight Charge, Prost and Lady Of Camelot.
Other stables with multiple runners in the Golden Slipper 2024 are the father/son training teams of Peter and Paul Snowden and Tony and Calvin McEvoy.
The Snowdens are chasing their second Golden Slipper 2024 win as a training partnership with Bodyguard and Holmes A Court while the McEvoys will saddle up Rue De Royale and Dublin Down as they chase their first win in the race.
Last year’s winning trainer Chris Waller saddles up leading chance Switzerland in the Golden Slipper 2024, while James Cummings, the 2019 winning trainer, prepares Traffic Warden.
Michael Freedman won the race in 2021 when training alongside his brother Richard but this year he goes it alone with Manaal in the Golden slipper 2024 while Blue Diamond winner Hayasugi runs for Victorian trainer Clinton McDonald.

Cosmic Force X Miss Marilyn Colt
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBt772ReHjw
This Colt is by Newgate Farm’s exciting first season sire Cosmic Force, already doing a great job with only a handful of runners so far producing 3 individual Stakes horses including the Blue Diamond Prelude Group 3 runner up Stay Focused and Inglis Nursery runner up Beer Baron.
His dam Miss Marilyn a winner at 1100m is a half sister to the illustrious Group 1 The Galaxy sprint winning earner of over $1.7 million Mistegic and Stakes winner of no less than 11 individual wins Rightson.
This Colt was a real standout for us at the sale from the moment we laid eyes on him we knew we were bringing him home. He ticked a lot of boxes for us he moved effortlessly, is so well balanced and oozed class. Every time we saw him he just came out and paraded like the utmost professional.
He was presented at the Inglis Classic sale and comes off the Boutique nursery Riverstone Lodge an upbringing that will see him have every chance for success on the track.
He will be trained by Nathan Doyle in Newcastle where he will get every chance. This Colt is eligible for the lucrative Inglis race series and BOBS bonus scheme.
Check out our Castelvecchio Filly below could she be your chance to have your racehorse at the Golden Slipper.
Castelvecchio x Rakitino Filly
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVVvCKS583w
This Filly is by Arrowfield Stud’s exciting young stallion Castelvecchio, a multiple Group 1 winner on the track. He was an excellent winner of the Inglis Millennium before going on to win the Group 1 Champagne Stakes, he would go on to even greater heights in his 3yo season winning the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas before running 2nd in the Cox Plate as a 3yo at weight
for age.
Rakitino is by champion sire Not A Single Doubt, a winner herself a 1200m she possessed plenty of speed and is a ½ sister to the 2yo winning stakes placed Zellindi. This Filly reminded us an awful lot of her dam sire Not A Single Doubt, she was well put together, a great shape, well balanced, athletic and very much in the mould of what he threw throughout his career at stud.
The Filly was presented at the Inglis Classic Sale by Rheinwood Pastoral, in recent times Rheinwood have produced the highly exciting colt Libertad a winner of the Group 3 Widden Kindergarten Stakes at 2 and the Group 3 San Domenico (just like Anders) highlighting their ability to produce top class racehorses to compete at the highest level.
She will be trained by David Pfieffer at Warwick Farm, Sydney that will see her have every opportunity. This Filly is eligible for the lucrative Inglis race series and BOBS bonus scheme
