His sire, Harry Angel, was a distinguished sprinter in Europe, celebrated for his victories in the Group 1 July Cup and Haydock Sprint, earning the title of World Champion Sprinter in 2017. Since retiring to stud, Harry Angel has made a significant impact with his first Southern Hemisphere runners, producing multiple stakes-winning juveniles, including Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes winner Tom Kitten.
Private Harry’s dam, Happy Pilgrim, is a three-time winning mare and a half-sister to Snipzu, the dam of Don Corleone, who notably secured placings in both the Group 1 Blue Diamond and Inglis Sires Produce.
Bred by Rheinwood Pastoral, a boutique farm in Mittagong, New South Wales, Private Harry was presented at the 2023 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale. His athleticism and impeccable conformation caught the eye of Kurrinda Bloodstock and Doyle Racing, who acquired him for $115,000.
