Nathan Doyle began his training career working with champion trainers Paul & Peter Snowden, and Mark Newnham. Here he learnt invaluable knowledge and skills which has led him to multiple winners and great success in the industry.
Putting together his passion, drive and knowledge from working closely with some of the world’s greatest racing names, it was time for Doyle to take on the racing industry for himself. At age 30, Working with Partner, Melina Gissing, in 2019 Doyle Racing began. Mel's appreciation for the race industry started at a young age with years of experience working with more highly regarded trainers, Gai Waterhouse and Bart Cummings. Doyle Racing stable started in Scone NSW where he enjoyed some early success which seen the stable growing.
Most recently, Nathan’s Private Harry won the 3 Million Dollar Sunlight race at the Sunshine Coast.

Matthew Dale is a highly-respected and well-known horse trainer with training operations based in Goulburn. Matthew’s approach is all about attention to detail. Working with some leading stables, such as those of high profile trainer Gai Waterhouse and John O’Shea, Matthew gained his own Licence during the 2002/03 season.
Matthew has experienced immeasurable success having won stakes races in 4 different states and the 2023 $2 million dollar Kosciusko with Front Page. His horses race regularly in both Sydney, Melbourne and Queensland where he also achieves regular success just like Boston Rocks recently at Moonee Valley.
Matthew has set up successful operations with a boutique stable of around 40 horses at his Goulburn property and up to 10 horses at Moruya. His facilities include a swimming pool, beach and river access, as well as walking machines, massage machines, equine treadmills. He also utilises experienced equine chiropractors, dentists, veterinarians and high-quality farriers to ensure premium care, treatment and success for his horses.
He bases his training on the theory that adequate attention should afford every horse every chance to fulfil its potential. Providing for the well-being and overall health of each horse is paramount to Matthew’s successful track record. Providing the opportunity for thoroughbreds to be fit, healthy and active should mean that a sound horse is a fast horse in Matthew’s book.

Mitch Freedman took a slight detour to his father and grandfather, but racing was always in his blood.
Freedman’s grandfather was a bookmaker and his father worked for him, meaning Mitchell was always around horses and racing from a young age.
Mitch worked for some astute Victorian minds in the period before getting his licence, spending time with Kathryn and Craig Durden, Andrew Payne and Dan O’Sullivan before starting a lengthy period working for the Melbourne Cup-winning trainer's.
Freedman graduated to become the foreman of a leading Warrnambool stable, which made him responsible for looking after many talented horses, including the dual Group 1 winner Platelet, top mare May’s Dream and the brilliant Puissance De Lune, who scored a memorable runaway win on Emirates Stakes day in 2012.
Mitch travelled overseas to gain some insight into European training techniques with top trainers David Simcock and Andrew Balding, which when added to his local education, gave Freedman a strong training philosophy that he follows to prepare his team.

Stuart Kendrick is a trainer with an enthusiasm and drive that has seen him become one of Queensland’s leading trainers for a number of years now. Stuart Kendrick Racing has become an regular figure in the Queensland trainers premiership registering top 5 finishes consistently for the past 5 years now. Stuart Kendrick Racing currently sits 2nd in the Queensland trainers premiership for 2024 with 117 winners so far this year.
Before moving down South, now basing his stable out of the excellent Sunshine Coast facilities, he took Premiership honours for 5 seasons in a row at Mackay and was annually one of the State’s leading trainers for winners.
With the lucrative QTIS prizemoney scheme on offer throughout Queensland, Stuart targets these races and has built a strong reputation for his expert handling of young horses. Highlights in 2024 for the stable include the $500k Magic Millions Country Cup winner Zoumeter as well as multiple Metropolitan Saturday winners including the likes of Tojaki, Pocket Full, Lost in Transit, Heartoni, to name just a few. Since moving to the Sunshine Coast in Febuary 2013, the stable has grown to 45 boxes on course where the training facilities are second to none, as well as having his own farm less than 15 minutes from the track, allowing for short freshen ups and that quieter environment for those horse who thrive away from the hustle and bustle adding another string to his bow. Stuart is training for some of the leading owners and studs in Australia including Kia Ora Stud, Aquis Farm and Arrowfield Stud,
Kendrick Racing Stables are backed by a committed team of staff dedicated to provide the best results for their clients. He is strongly supported by his wife Trudy who is an integral part of the team.

David Pfieffer brings 20+ years of experience and successes, working with industry heavyweights such as Rod Craig, Graeme Rogerson, and the late Tony Wildman. David’s natural approach and eye for detail has brought esteem to his horsemanship within Sydney’s training ranks. He now owns 40 boxes on Warwick Farm racecourse.
From his first win with Enemy Dragline, David has since produced many headline gallopers, such as Gai’s Choice, Cradle Me and Atmospherical.
David’s Graceful Anna secured the $1 million Magic Millions 3yo Trophy an additon to an impressive win in the Group 3 Vo Rogue Plate. Growing up around horses, Richard Freedman trained his first winner at only 18 years old.
As part of the Freedman Brothers Dynasty in the 1990’s, the team prepared more than 100 G1
Winners, including five Melbourne Cups, four Golden Slippers, four Caulfield Cups and two Cox Plates.
With a career change to Media and Racing Administration, by 2017 the hunger to train had returned – especially the chance to partner with his son, Will.
While racing was always in his blood – Will Freedman was given the chance to work outside the sport of kings. Even with a university degree in media, the ambition to train racehorses grabbed a strong hold.
Spending two years overseas on the Godolphin Flying Start gave Will an outstanding global grounding in horse racing, learning and experiencing the elite nature of many top operations.
Following that, the desire to prove himself took Will to Scone, NSW – where he started his own training business from scratch.
With enough winners under his belt, Will moved back to Sydney in 2022 to join forces with his Father, Richard.

25 years ago very few people had heard the name Chris Waller. In 1998 the young Kiwi lad from Foxton took a mare on a journey to success at Wyong; the rest, as they say, is history.
These days, Chris Waller is best known as the trainer of incredible mare Winx, whose career he handled superbly. The pressure which he faced every time she raced, and every time a race was chosen for her, was huge, but he stood calm and assured in the eye of the storm, his dignity and composure matched only by his humility, courtesy and candour.
Like Winx, he is a credit to the sport, just as he has been ever since he arrived in Sydney as a complete unknown only a couple of decades ago.

Apprentice to CS Hayes then a successful jumps jockey, including captaining the Australia team against Ireland in the International Jockey Challenge, Ciaron realised his size would deny his riding ambitions. Despite that, his love for racing and his natural interest and curiosity in training saw him commit to a career as a trainer at a young age. Knowing you learn best from the best, he spent time with Bart Cummings, Aiden O’Brien and Willie Mullins before starting in his own right, with 6 boxes on his dad’s farm. He knows you never stop learning and continues to connect with the greats, only last year spending time with Wesley Ward (USA), Roger Charlton (UK) and Richard Hannon (UK), Andre Fabre (France) and Joseph O’Brien (IRE).
Ciaron has also deservedly gained a reputation as a shrewd purchaser of horses:
Ciaron is now very happy to be based in what he describes as the best training facility he’s seen anywhere in the world at Ballarat, with operations also in Cranbourne and Sydney.

Travis Doudle is a vibrant former jumps jockey who has made a name for himself in the Australian racing scene. His journey began over twenty years ago in a small country town just outside of Port Lincoln, where his passion for horses first took root. After a decade of riding in Victoria he returned home to start his training career.
With determination and a backyard stable built alongside his father, Travis laid the foundation for what would become a flourishing training career. Starting with just four horses, he made the bold move to Morphettville, where his operation steadily grew into the successful business it is today.
Known for his hands-on approach and deep connection with each horse, Travis tailors his training to suit individual needs. Whether it’s beach gallops, forest trail work, or innovative conditioning routines, he’s committed to bringing out the very best in every runner.
His achievements on the track speak volumes:
Wiggum stole the show with victory in the 2023 Schweppervescence Plate at Flemington on Melbourne Cup Day, giving Damian Oliver his final Melbourne Cup Day winner.
Not Usual Glorious was crowned bet365 Country Racing Victoria Horse of the Year (2022–2023) after a stellar campaign.
Struck By capped off the season with a win in the Adelaide Galvanising Industries Christmas Handicap (2023/2024).
Multiple fillies trained by Travis have earned valuable black type, significantly boosting their value as broodmares.
Outside of racing, Travis is a proud husband and father. He continues to build a training legacy based on passion, resilience, and results—with a future that’s just getting started.

In 2025, Liam achieved a significant career milestone when he was granted his trainer’s licence and established Ruddy Racing, setting up his base in the heart of the Hunter Valley at Dartbrook Downs. From here, he trains a growing string of horses with a strong focus on performance, progressive development, and long-term soundness.
Liam’s training philosophy blends traditional horsemanship with modern training methods. With access to high-quality facilities that mirror those of leading metropolitan stables including purpose-built yards, advanced training surfaces, and comprehensive conditioning equipment every horse in the stable is prepared in an environment designed to support both wellbeing and performance.
In addition to race training, Liam undertakes a small and selective number of Ready-to-Run and sale preparation projects. His careful approach to selection, education, and presentation has already delivered strong results, reinforcing his reputation as a thoughtful and astute judge of talent.
Above all, Liam prides himself on honest communication, strategic placement, and a genuine commitment to delivering results for his owners. Whether developing emerging talent or targeting success at higher levels, his goal is to build a stable that consistently stands out for its professionalism, preparation, and competitive spirit.
